Summer’s here – and so are new meddevo features & improvements!

Release: Performance Boost & Multilingual Data Export

meddevo just got faster! We’ve rolled out an update to how data is loaded throughout the platform. You should now notice quicker load times and a smoother experience.
Also it’s now possible to export your meddevo data in any supported language, not just your workspace’s primary language, but all supported languages (as seen under Administration → Workspace control). We’re already working on further refinements, such as automatic mapping of form fields for multilingual imports these will arrive soon. As always, if you have feedback, we’d love to hear it.

Bug Fix: Saving Text Alignment in the Editor

Text alignment settings are now properly saved in the Editor. If you load content dynamically, these alignment settings will apply by default, but you can adjust them in the dynamic content block as needed.

Coming Up: Solution-Based Access Control, new Entry View Builder & Update on Views

Soon, administrators will be able to manage user access to specific meddevo solutions (like eTD or Document Hub) through Administration → User management. During the transition, all users will keep access to their current solutions.

We're also working on a new Entry View Builder, that will make it easier for you to adapt views in meddevo to your own needs. After its release there will be a grace period in which the old entry views are still usable.

Last but not least: We’ll be removing all “Available Documents related to…” form fields from standard views. Please also remove them from your custom views. All documents scoped to an entry will of course remain accessible through Folder Preview. For use as dynamic content in the writer, these “Available Documents related to…” fields will continue working, but in the future, a filter in the dynamic content block will take over.

Action Needed: ISO 10993-9 Reference Update

Please check if you reference ISO 10993-9:2021 (Version 1.0) from the “monitored Requirements” collection and if so, update any references to ISO 10993-9:2021 (Version 2.0, MDR-Harmonized). The earlier version will shortly be labelled “deprecated” and then removed.
Tipp: Don’t Lose Your meddevo Know-How

When key team members leave, essential meddevo expertise can disappear too. Consider capturing your workflows and processes in SOPs, training videos, or other formats now, so that important knowledge remains in your organisation for the long haul.

Validation Not Affected

In line with our risk-based approach, all bug fixes, updates, and minor changes made to the system do not affect the current system validation.
