Deleting & Restoring Entries in meddevo
Deleting Entries
Delete Single Entry:
Open an entry, click the three dots (top right), then choose the trash can icon. A warning will appear—only delete if you are sure.
Delete Multiple Entries:
In any collection overview, select several entries via the checkboxes. Use “Modifications → Delete” to remove them all at once, after confirming the warning.
Note: Deleting an entry also removes all its connections (links) to other objects. When restoring, these connections are not automatically restored and must be recreated manually.
Trash Bin & Restore
- Deleted entries are never permanently removed—they are sent to the trash bin, which is located in the administration area and accessible only to administrators.
- To restore an entry, open it from the trash bin. You will jump directly to the relevant collection, where the entry is shown with a red “deleted” label.
- Use the restore function to bring the entry back. Connections to other objects need to be added manually.
- Known Bug: After closing a deleted entry that was opened from the trash bin, all deleted entries momentarily appear in the collection view. Once you reload, the view is correct again—they are still deleted.
Special Notes
- Only administrators can access the trash bin and restore deleted entries.
- Attention: Deleting form fields in Collection Management is permanent; these do not go to the trash bin and cannot be restored.
