What is meddevo Document Hub?

The Document Hub is an optional, additional solution from meddevo that is not included in the standard eTD platform. It can be added as an extension to the meddevo eTD solution.

What is the Document Hub used for?

In the Document Hub, specific document types can be made available to user groups. This allows employees without a full meddevo license (e.g., from individual departments or external partners) to access and, if necessary, download relevant documents—depending on their assigned role. This enables secure and differentiated document access both within and outside the company.

This means, for example:

  • Employees outside the Regulatory Affairs department—such as those in production, service, or sales—can be granted targeted access to released technical documentation relevant to them.
  • Provision of files is centralized, so there is no need to distribute documents via email or SharePoint.
  • Access is clear, focused, and restricted to the relevant documents.
  • Access is fully customizable by the meddevo Key User and can be adjusted at any time.

Who can use the Document Hub?

It is possible to create users who have access to the Document Hub only. These users can see only the documents released for them, providing a clear and simple overview with no access to other meddevo system areas.
