Non-Deletable Entries and Settings in meddevo

In meddevo, there are certain entries and settings that cannot be deleted once they have been created. These restrictions generally apply exclusively to administrative functions. While many objects (such as documents) can be moved to the recycle bin and thus removed from the system, this does not apply to the following admin-related settings:

Non-Deletable Settings and Data

  • Workflows: Once used for one or more entries, workflows cannot be deleted.
  • Company Roles: Company-specific roles remain permanently in the system after creation.
  • Header and Footer: Settings for headers and footers cannot be removed.
  • Document IDs: Assigned document IDs cannot be deleted.
  • Collections: Custom collections, i.e., collections you have created yourself, cannot be deleted by users.
  • Users: User accounts cannot be removed; they can only be set to "inactive."

Important Considerations

When creating these settings, you should carefully consider in advance which values, labels, and structures you want to store permanently in the system. Typos, test entries, or duplicate structures cannot be removed later and could compromise the clarity of your system in the long term.

Note: You have the option of testing new settings and data in the Playground before creating them in your production system. This helps you avoid mistakes and inconsistencies, and allows you to plan final entries accurately.
